Joe has decades of semiconductor and technology venture successes. He started as a DRAM semiconductor process engineer at Mostek in the late ‘70. In ‘84, he started Techlink Co. to represent US semiconductor equipment companies doing business in S. Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore. He served as a board member of CASPA; Chinese American Semiconductor Professionals Asso., invested in many fabless semiconductor and technology start-ups. He seeded Integrated Silicon Solutions in 1988, (1995 NASDAQ IPO: ISSI), Vertex Networks (acquired by Mitel 2001), and Programmable Microelectronics Corp. (Acquired by ISSI), BCD Semiconductor (IPO BCDS), Oplink Communications, (OPLK) and many others. He later served as Oplink’s Chairman and CEO, led a successful NASDAQ IPO in 2000, acquired OCPI in 2007, and Molex/Koch’s cash buyout in 2014. Joe holds an M.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from California State University, Chico and a B.S. degree in Printing Engineering from Chinese Culture University, Taipei.
